Freedom Of The Seas

The Royal Caribbean cruise line not only considers the Freedom of the Seas one of its premier passenger liners of all time, the term also describes a lifestyle.  Those of us who are fortunate enough to cruise more than once often come to think of ourselves living on the seas.  Freedom Of The Seas Reviews such as this one are easily written given the vessel naturally lives up to the great claims making for a pleasant, memorable experience.

Within the cruise world one can travel almost anywhere on the oceans aboard one of hundreds of different ships.  The fastest segment of the vacation/travel industry, cruise lines are becoming more affordable and accommodating whole families, whereas just a few years ago they were cost prohibitive with little enough for children to enjoy.

Now, with rock climbing walls, water parks, and special activities directed at kids, they have become almost floating theme parks.

For the greater part, these cruises are, of course, all inclusive.  There are a few amenities that one might end up paying for extra, but those are a matter of personal taste.  The big differences in overall price have to do with stateroom size and location.

There are staterooms, (as opposed to suites), interior outside, outside balcony, or outside balcony suite for example.  Queen size beds or twin beds for example are a matter of choice. Based on double occupancy, Freedom of the Seas offers various room accommodations, just as it would if it were a land locked resort.

Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas cruise ship, out of Port Canaveral, was the largest cruise ship in the world up to 2009.  With a crew of around 1300 that serves close to 3600 passengers, there is someone to provide an answer to almost any need.  If that seems like a lot of people aboard one ship, keep in mind that it’s a big ship.

Reviews by those who have experienced the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship have told about everything from the feel of the staterooms/cabins, the quiet little nooks where a couple can ‘get away’ from the noise and crowds, to their favorite maitre d’.  As in any setting, whether it be a big city shopping district at Christmas, or a resort on the Yucatan peninsula, you need to explore, talk to other people, and enjoy the moment.

If mixing with people and making new best friends isn’t your thing then another vacation venue may be a better choice.  That in no way implies that alone time is not available on a cruise ship outside your own cabin.  On cruise ships the size of the Freedom, there are many places to go and things to see that will keep you busy and fascinated.  (And that is only on-board).

The shore visits are, literally, a whole other world.  One may sign up for several tours that have been pre-arranged by the cruise line, (Royal Caribbean International), or you may free wheel it and strike out on your own.  You may rent a bicycle, mo-ped, or car, or hike it on foot.

The stops these ships make are always well thought out to offer some of the most picturesque, fun, and interesting places available in the cruise area.  Fun activities include snorkeling, scuba diving, para-sailing, parties, fiestas, tours, and just about anything else that you wouldn’t necessarily do at home.

When the cruise ships are back underway you will be enjoy stage shows, live music, scrumptious food, (available just about any time), and a range of activities that are guaranteed to make you anxious to do it again and again. You owe it to yourself to do a little research, (you will find a review helpful), dream of the possibilities, and try the open water experience.  The Freedom of the Seas is calling to you, (in every sense of the word).
